With annual revenues in excess of $120 million and approximately 100 staff, Total Construction provides innovative construction solutions across the aged care & health, food & beverage, renewable energies, commercial & industrial, airports & infrastructure, education & childcare, and fit-out (retail & clubs) sectors.

With limited internal marketing resources, Total Construction needed a streamlined process for sharing their success stories.

Building online reputation

Building online reputation is a critical success factor for any company on a growth trajectory.  It is especially important for companies engaged in complex business to business sales environments.

With social media and email marketing channels established, the missing piece for Total Construction was creating a consistent flow of stories about project successes and innovation.

Your best people are busy

It's a challenge many highly successful companies confront. Your best people are flat out delivering for clients, and don't have time to share their stories. Using your internal team to write case studies also has an opportunity cost attached.  It potentially draws focus away from client delivery and staff can miss the true jewels within a story, being too close to the project or client.

copywriting + content management

Utilising the smarts of the EWO senior consultants, a simple system has been created to address the content gap.

Cheryl Fitzell (EWO Senior Copywriter) works with CEO Jeff Jones to identify projects to be featured and an 8-weekly editorial calendar is produced.

For each article Cheryl then interviews the relevant project owner, writes the copy for the article and sends through to the client for approval.

Nicole Robertson (EWO Campaign Manager) then posts the content to the client's marketing channels, prepares and dispatches the company newsletter.

This process is repeated every eight weeks. Efficient routines for content generation have been established and continue to be refined as the needs and dynamics of the business evolve.

 

Eyes Wide Open have enabled brand awareness to become a staff-wide responsibility, rather than just a corporate focus, by removing the pain points of story compilation and preparation and in doing so has meant that all the business is engaged in the journey.
